COMMITTEE FORMATION
The most significant aspects of the campaign are organization and leadership.  Success is very closely tied to these factors and to the abilities of individuals who assume leadership roles by serving on the CAMPAIGN LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE. Most importantly, the success of the campaign will directly correspond to the attitudes of Campaign Leadership – pastor and committee. Committee members should be representative of each community in the parish. 

The PASTOR 

• Implements the campaign plan in his parish(es) through a “good faith effort.”
• Following the advice of the Campaign Director, recruits appropriate members to serve on the Campaign Leadership Committee to assist in executing the campaign plan.
• Sets the pace and positive tone toward the campaign to ensure optimum results can be achieved. 
• Speaks at all receptions, makes timely and effective pulpit announcements and appeals so parishioners are adequately informed, prepared, and motivated to participate generously. 

The GENERAL CHAIRPERSON(S) 

• Assists pastor with overall campaign organization at the parish.
• Manages adherence to campaign plan and volunteer availability to ensure success. 
• Presents the parish case and gives a personal witness at all receptions, and at Mass on a designated weekend, to lead the parish in supporting the campaign.
• Assists Pastor/Pastoral Administrator as needed with one-on-one visits and committee formation.

The PARISH OUTREACH COORDINATOR(S) & VOLUNTEER TEAM

• Helps form a Parish Outreach Team that will remain active throughout the active phase of the campaign.
• Coordinates with Campaign Admin. to assemble and send out mailings (invitations/thank you/follow-up, etc).
• Calls those who do not respond to the formal reception invitation to accurately ascertain reception numbers.
• Assembles reception materials into campaign reception packets.
• Follows up with reception attendees and non-attendees to ensure all questions are answered/encourage support.

The PARISH TECHNOLOGY CHAIRPERSON(S)

• Obtains adequate equipment and knowledgeable volunteers to assist with campaign video presentation.
• Is present at all receptions and on Video Weekend at Mass to ensure proper set-up, operation, and break down of AV equipment.

The RECEPTION COORDINATOR(S) & Team  

• Sets up the reception room (if in parish facilities).
• Acquires light refreshments (coffee, tea, beverages, finger foods, light pastries, etc.) for guests. 
• Obtains materials needed for the receptions include nametags, and markers.
• Coordinates volunteers to assist with hospitality, welcome and clean-up.

The SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

• Keeps the parish up to date with campaign activities and milestones via written and social media as appropriate.
• Copies and inserts campaign newsletters in the bulletin.

The MASS VOLUNTEER CHAIRPERSON & Team

• Coordinates volunteers and ushers to setup the church, distribute and collect campaign materials during special Campaign Weekends (Volunteer Weekend and Commitment Weekend).

The CAMPAIGN ADMINISTRATOR – Can collaborate with other Committee Members to: 

• Obtains an up-to-date and accurate parish roster in a workable format.
• Works with Campaign Director in implementing Staying Connected effort/updates roster accordingly.
• Works with Outreach Coordinator to send invitations and thank you mailings.
• Tracks reception RSVPs and reports back to the committee at large.
• Maintains contact with the assigned Campaign Director.
