Opportunity Scholars Fund: Funded by Donor Designation 

The Beacon of Faith Campaign is creating a special education endowment called "Opportunity Scholars: A Beacon of Opportunity, Access, and Excellence for Catholic Education."  This new education endowment fund provides opportunities for scholarships, access to more schooling programs and ensures teacher excellence.

Opportunity Scholarship Component: The scholarship component of this capital campaign seeks to provide adequate funding for enhancing the accessibility of both parish and Diocesan Catholic Schools. Its primary goal is to ensure that every child who desires a Catholic education can access it, regardless of financial constraints.

Access to Educational Programs:  Recognizing the importance of early childhood Catholic education, we plan to allocate a significant portion of our campaign funds to establish parish Catholic prekindergarten programs in areas where the need exists. This program will provide high-quality early education to children in our community, fostering their intellectual, social, and spiritual development through the Catholic tradition.

Excellence in Education: To attract and retain the best educators for our educational programs and existing educational ministries, we are committed to investing funds in new teacher mentoring, professional development, leadership formation, and teacher salary increases for attraction and retention of quality educators. 

The Beacon of Faith Capital Campaign will provide the solid foundation upon which our Church will continue to build and enhance the future for Catholics across the Diocese of Springfield. Financial resources are essential to enable our parishes to continue supporting the journey of faith, spirituality and ministry of our expanding Catholic community.
