Parish Support and Development - $11.5 Million

Many parishes throughout our diocese are in great need of significant funding for capital projects as well as ongoing ministries, programs, and outreach. Parishes may utilize campaign funds in the way that best benefits the parish. The campaign target for each parish will include their 2024 Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) goal. Once a parish meets its 2024 ACA goal, 50% of the funds collected up to its Beacon of Faith target will return to the parish. If a parish exceeds its Beacon of Faith target, it will then receive 75% of the excess funds collected. Some examples of how parishes may utilize Beacon of Faith campaign funds include:

• Expanding, renovating or restoring parish facilities
• Creating new parish ministries or strengthening existing programs, services and outreach
• Establishing or increasing parish endowments
• Eliminating/reducing parish debt

The Beacon of Faith Capital Campaign will provide the solid foundation upon which our Church will continue to build and enhance the future for Catholics across the Diocese of Springfield. Financial resources are essential to enable our parishes to continue supporting the journey of faith, spirituality and ministry of our expanding Catholic community.
